Executive Interview of Apptunix

Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?
GameFirms was founded in the year 2013 and is recognized in the industry for a solution-oriented approach. Our main aim is to passionately flourish the technology field and help make businesses successful through various digital tools and solutions. From the beginning, we have focused on delivering custom technology solutions to our clients worldwide. Currently, we employ advanced design principles with emerging technologies in mobile, cloud, and desktop to develop effective solutions. I am the CEO and Founder of GameFirms, responsible for creating and implementing the company's vision and mission, along with setting strategic goals for different teams. To date, we have assisted numerous businesses worldwide in achieving their goals by utilizing cutting-edge technologies, and we aspire to continue doing so in the future.
What was the idea behind starting this organization?
Prior to the establishment of GameFirms, I had the opportunity to work with various software development organizations. Throughout these experiences, I realized that the cornerstone of a business's success is the effective use of advanced technology. Numerous startups lack the capacity to transform their ideas into reality, and GameFirms is dedicated to facilitating that process.
What are your company's business model – in-house team or third-party vendors/outsourcing?
We have a team of over 80 in-house experienced professionals, including developers, designers, business analysts, quality analysts, and marketing experts, who are diligently working on projects. Each organization has a team leader responsible for making decisions and defining individual responsibilities within their team. This hierarchical structure allows for a seamless workflow, and I take pride in the knowledgeable decisions made by our leaders, which have enabled us to diversify our clientele in under five years.
How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies' models?
Our primary objective is to address our clients' challenges. We position ourselves as a solution provider rather than merely a development firm. We guide both budding and seasoned entrepreneurs in recognizing the necessity for digital solutions, placing significant emphasis on client satisfaction and accurately understanding their business needs. The reviews we have garnered on your platform reflect our commitment to adding value and delivering quality-oriented solutions.
What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive? If yes, what ratio of clients has been repetitive to you?
We do not confine ourselves to specific industries; instead, we serve a wide array of sectors. We provide practical solutions for e-commerce, social networking, fitness, education, blockchain, and other on-demand businesses. With each passing year, we gain new experiences by engaging with novel ideas pitched by our clients. Regarding repeat customers, we consistently receive inquiries from our existing clients for new features or business ideas, allowing us to help them achieve remarkable outcomes.
Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a mobile app.
Before commencing any project, we conduct thorough research on its scope and the technical complexities involved. Subsequently, our expert developers determine the suitable technology stack, and only after analyzing these factors do we provide our clients with a timeframe for mobile app development.
How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a mobile app?
The timeframe for development is contingent on the complexity of the project. Some projects can be completed in 5-6 months, while others may require approximately 1-1.5 years.
What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
Each application targets a specific user base, which dictates the platform the business should prioritize. Thus, the type of business and its target audience are two critical variables that determine the most profitable platform for the client. At GameFirms, we make platform recommendations based on a careful analysis of these factors.
Which platform do you suggest your clients begin with when they approach you with an idea (Android or iOS) and why?
I recommend both iOS and Android platforms. The market is robust for both, making it imperative not to exclude either option. When clients express a preference for one platform, we base our decision on an analysis of their target audience and demographics to identify the most suitable platform for their business idea.
Android or iOS, Native or Hybrid — which platform is best to use to build your app? What are your recommendations?
Currently, I advise my clients to launch their apps on both Android and iOS platforms. However, if a client opts for a single platform, I suggest Android due to its substantial market share. For companies with limited budgets that wish to retain their customer base, I recommend considering a Hybrid approach.
What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions, etc.)
We offer flexibility in our pricing models, accepting fixed cost, milestone payments, and monthly billing. The choice of pricing model depends on the complexity of the project and its unique requirements. Typically, we favor the time and material model, where our clients are billed on an hourly basis reflective of the time spent by our developers on assigned tasks. We also utilize fixed budget pricing for startups undertaking smaller projects with constrained budgets and tighter timelines.
What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2018?
In 2018, we developed AR and VR projects featuring significant technical complexities, resulting in elevated costs that remain confidential under NDA. However, I can confirm that the maximum project cost exceeded $100k.
Which business model do you suggest to your clients, enabling them to generate revenue from mobile applications? Why?
There are various product types that necessitate tailored monetization strategies. For substantial revenue generation, I advocate for a free mobile app with in-app purchases offering compelling features and functions.
Kindly share your feedback on how GameFirms has been doing so far in increasing your visibility among potential clients.
GameFirms has significantly aided us in identifying the right client base. I value the platform as it offers a space to share our successes, connect with new clients, and gain multi-tiered exposure.
